I selected this photo because this is my favorite pair of shoes and the image is of superior quality. Compositionally, there is rule of thirds being followed because every third of the photo is occupied by the object. Also there is leading lines shown by the segments on the sole of the shoe that guide the viewer's eye throughout the photo. To take this photo I had the camera set on f250 and f1.5.
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is filling the frame. There is also pattern and texture seen in the plant. When I edited this photo, I adjusted coloring, cropping, and exposure. The camera was set to f.56. This photo communicates/reminds me of/ makes me think of hidden treasure. The image communicates a simple fern but the viewer has no idea what lies within/beyond the fern, this question is left to the viewer to answer and their mind can fill in with an answer of whatever they so please.
This photo was taken for the depth of field assignment. What I like about this photo is the lighting because the combination of colors is pleasing. My point of view was head on, I was about 2 feet from the subject. The photo Follows the rule of thirds because the blade of the scissors "cuts" across the entirety of the photo diagonally . The depth of field is f/4 The ISO was set to 400 and the White Balance was auto.
COMPOSITION: This photo is all about the leading lines of the string. This photo loosely follows the "left to right rule". The same way we read left to right we read the photo left to right. The string leads us on a loops expedition throughout the pixels on the screen. TECHNICAL: The f stop was on f/11 shutter speed was 1/125. To me, this photo communicates the scissors "eating" the string.
Rule of thirds is followed in this photo I had to adjust lighting all around the room for this photo There is a special aspect of the photo, I hadn't noticed it for a long time but at the end of the fins it is a little translucent. What this means is...
Depth is the most obvious and foremost compositional element
The thermos and camera had to be moved a million times to create the shot but it came out very good.
The photo is less about meaning and more about how the depth leads the viewer
